Stellar is working to strengthen security protocols for signing into your MLS account. These security updates will take place throughout August. Updates include breach password scanning (if you reset your password, the password will automatically be checked against a known list of breached passwords and will alert you), a new protocol for password recovery and disabling saved passwords for all browsers for logging into the MLS. These security upgrades ensure that your MLS account data is better protected against unauthorized access.
Password Recovery Process Change – August 2020
Starting on Aug. 19, the password recovery process for your Stellar MLS account will transition from a security question model to an auto-generated email process instead. If you forget your password, going forward you will click on “Forgot Password” from the Stellarmls.com login, and an email will be sent to the email Stellar MLS has on file for you with instructions on how to reset your password.
Review the email address Stellar has on file for you by going to Matrix and searching for your own record in the speed bar.

If you discover that your email is incorrect, contact your REALTOR® association/board and ask to have it updated. Stellar MLS cannot modify your information, including your email on file. Your member data can only be unlocked and changed by your association/board. Once your local association/board has made changes to your account, the new information will be sent to Stellar MLS.
Saved Password Deactivation - August 2020
Starting in August, you will no longer be able to use a saved password from any browser to log into your MLS account. Enhanced security protocols will require you to type in your login credentials each time you access the MLS. The saved password deactivation will only be applicable for your Stellar MLS login and will not impact any other saved passwords you might have stored in your browser for other accounts you use.
If you currently use a saved password when you login into the MLS, ensure that you know your MLS login, including your MLS ID and your password, prior to this change taking place in September. If you do not remember your saved password and need to reset it, follow the password recovery steps noted above.
