Stellar MLS Commercial Offerings

“Crexi is a commercial real estate platform designed to help connect commercial properties with a broader audience of buyers, brokers, investors, and more!” The Crexi site draws 3 million+ monthly visitors.

Stellar MLS has partnered with Crexi to allow brokers to opt-in to listing distribution of commercial listings. If the broker opts the office in, and the agent opts the listing in, commercial sale, commercial lease, and business opportunity listings will flow from Matrix to Crexi.

Stellar MLS’s partnership with Crexi is not a subscription offering. Crexi offers both free and Pro (paid) subscription options, and NAR members receive special pricing on Pro subscription. Subscription information can be found on the Crexi website. This partnership is solely a distribution channel allowing Matrix commercial listings to appear on Crexi.

Distributing Matrix commercial listings to Crexi will increase exposure to Crexi’s audience of 3+ million monthly visitors. Benefits of distributing to Crexi include free national exposure to a commercial-focused audience, with no cost or subscription required.

No. By default, none of an offices listings will be sent to Crexi unless the broker opts in.

• Go to your Stellar MLS broker portal, and click on the Listing Distribution icon to manage your offices' distribution options.

• Crexi is automatically opted out, by default, the "Distribute to" option is set to NO.

• Update the distribution option to YES to allow your office's listings to be distributed to Crexi.

• If a Broker opts out at the portal level, this always overrides any agent-level opt-in in Matrix, regardless of individual listing settings. • If a Broker has opted in for office listings to be distributed, a listing Agent or admin can still opt out specific listings, at the seller's request, on a listing-by-listing basis.

For any commercial listings submitted to Matrix after to August 18, 2026, the Crexi box in the listing distribution section of the Add/Edit tab will be checked by default, but the agent can uncheck the box prior to activating the listing to opt out.

For listings submitted prior to August 18th, the agent would need to follow the steps below to turn on listing distribution to Crexi.

Yes, any listings submitted prior to August 18, 2026 would require an opt in to be selected, in order to display on Crexi.

• Go to Matrix and select the Add/Edit Tab.

• Choose the listing(s) that you wish to distribute to Crexi. 

• Click on the Add/Edit Listing Fields link. 

• Go to the Realtor Tab, and scroll to the Listing Distribution section.

•In the Distribute To field, select Crexi to indicate your preference to distribute the listing to Crexi.

• Click 'Submit Listing' to finalize the process.

Please Note: Your Broker will need to be opted in to distributing listings to Crexi within their Stellar Portal. A Brokers opt-out will always override their agents' opt-in at the listing level in Matrix. But if a Broker has opted in for listings to be distributed to specific sites, their listing agent or admin can opt out of specific sites at the seller's request on a listing-by-listing basis.

If your commercial listings are not displaying on Crexi, it is likely due to one of the following reasons:

1) Your broker did not opt your office in to Crexi distribution.

2) The listing was submitted prior to August 18th, and you will need to edit the listing to select Crexi distribution (see above).

As Stellar MLS is not offering Crexi subscriptions, nothing will change if you already subscribe to Crexi. You will have the option of distributing Matrix listings to Crexi instead of having to do double entry in both Matrix and the Crexi platform.

There will not be a duplicate listing. Once distribution is turned on in Matrix, the MLS feed becomes the authoritative source and the existing Crexi listing updates rather than duplicating. Agents can still enhance the listing directly in Crexi with any fields or details that aren’t captured in Matrix, so nothing gets lost from work already done. Matrix is the source of truth.

Yes, the listing agent’s name and contact info always display on the listing, whether or not they subscribe to Crexi. This is a compliance requirement for us and a condition of publishing, so brokers can distribute with confidence that they’ll be the point of contact for every inquiry.
