Required Courses
To ensure a seamless onboarding experience and optimize the use of the Stellar MLS system (Matrix), we have designed a comprehensive training program for all new customers. Within 60 days of joining, all new Stellar MLS customers must complete Starting Out Stellar, MLS Basic, MLS Compliance required courses.
To gain add/edit listing access to Matrix, customers must complete MLS Adding and Editing Listings and obtain broker approval (as applicable).
Brokers must set Access Levels for Matrix for agents and staff.

100 Starting Out Stellar
Delivery: Self Paced Online and Live Webinar
Duration: 45 min.
Description: This course provides a comprehensive overview of navigating the Stellar MLS website and Stellar Central®. You'll learn how to log into your MLS account, access Stellar Central® and explore the products and services available, including how to access Matrix and add branding to attract and communicate with customers. We’ll show you around Stellarmls.com, explore the Resources and Education tabs, and review shareholder and coverage area information.
101 MLS Basic
Delivery: Live stream and in-person options available
Duration: 2 hours
Description: This required course teaches every new Stellar MLS subscriber the basics of Matrix – the most powerful multiple listing service platform in the business! Topics include navigating the system, setting up a property search, direct and auto emails, managing contacts, personalizing Matrix for business success, and more.
102 MLS Compliance
Delivery: Live stream and in-person options available
Duration: 1 hour 15 min.
Description: A key purpose of the MLS is to provide real estate brokerages with a mechanism to compensate each other for bringing buyers to each other’s listings. For this to work, we must share accurate data and enter listings in a way that maintains the cooperative nature of the MLS. This required class for new subscribers reviews the MLS comprehensive Rules & Regulations to ensure all users have access to the best data possible!
103 MLS Adding & Editing Listings
Delivery: Live stream and in-person options available
Duration: 1 hour 30 min
Description: This course is mandatory for brokers and agents* who will be adding and editing listings in the MLS. We will walk you through the process of gathering listing data, entering listings into Matrix, adding photos and attachments, and editing listings. We will also share valuable tips and techniques in the listing entry process.
*Broker approval is required for agent access.
104 Compliance Refresh
Delivery: Self-Paced Online and Live Webinar.
Duration: 45 min.
Description: This course is the only on-going education requirement for Stellar MLS subscribers and is due once every two (2) years.
To access this course log into Stellar University here and search for '104 Compliance Refresh' or choose 'Compliance Refresh' under the 'Category' dropdown.
